In the last chapter Ramachandran reiterates a lot of ground the book covered in previous chapters and discusses the future of neuroscience research and the knowledge that is still to come. He discusses particular traits that are distinctly human, including laughter and free will. He makes sure to stress that there is much to be learned and that the studies of the human brain will never be complete. Ramachandran also dabs into the conversation of evolution or creationism but stresses the point that we will never know the answer to that argument and the best we could do to get to a solid answer is to continue research into neuroscience.
